How to Aim and Shoot in Mass Effect Andromeda
Aiming and shooting are two things you’ll find yourself doing quite often in Mass Effect Andromeda. Sure, there will be instances where you can attempt to resolve things peacefully, but some creatures out there respect nothing but violence. Thankfully, aiming and shooting are probably the easiest things you’ll find yourself doing in the game, which is a good thing.
To aim, simply hold down L2/LT to bring up the sights. Then, while still aiming, press R2/RT to fire your weapon of choice. It’s as simple as that.
One thing to note is that different weapons have different reticles. Shotguns have a wider blast, so don’t expect a single point. You’ll instead see an area that your bullets will hit. Rifles have more of a zoom, witch snipers having the most, allowing for more precise aiming over large distances. Eventually you’ll get the hang of each different weapon and adjust to how they each handle, aim, and shoot.
Another thing to note is that you lose a lot of your peripheral vision while aiming since the camera will always zoom in a bit, even if you don’t have a scope. Make sure to always pay mind to your surroundings and to check your immediate area from time to time.
