Final Fantasy XV: How and Where to Get the Glass Gemstone

The Glass Gemstone is a pretty important resource in the game because it’s required for the upgrade of the Engine Blade, and turn it into Noctis’ Ultima Blade. It’s not a common drop from monsters, and so far, there are only a few confirmed locations where you’re guaranteed to be able to pick one up.

The first can be found in the city of Lestallum. Upon arriving in the city, go to the blue building to the left of the plaza, sitting at the roadside. Head inside a little, and you should find one Gemstone sitting on the ground. If you happened to sell this Gemstone, you’ll have to wait till you get to Cape Caem. At the Hidden Getaway outpost, look for a well sitting a little ways away from the hotel, and you’ll find the Gemstone there.

If you missed both of these Gemstones, you can upgrade Gladio’s survival skill to level 6, and he’ll have a chance of obtaining a free Glass Gemstone from killing monsters. This method is a bit of a grind, but it’s the next most reliable method if you sold your first two Gemstones.
