Control

Control is the latest title from developer Remedy and boy is it a great one. You play as Jesse Faden as she explores the Oldest House and uncovers mysteries about what’s going on around her.
Once you get access to her sweet telekinetic powers, that’s where the combat kicks in. You can shoot enemies with a special form-changing gun, blow debris towards them with your mind, and even fly around like a superhero.
As one of the best games of 2019, this summer sale price for Control shouldn’t be ignored.
Borderlands 3
Original Price: $59.99
Have you been craving more Borderlands? Well, it’s safe to say that this latest entry from Gearbox might be the best of the franchise, as far as looting and shooting goes.
There’s a lot of different guns to use, the toilet humor that the series is known for is in full effect here, and the co-op play is still excellent.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
Original Price: $14.99
Kick butt, take names, save the world, and get the girl. What else could you want from a video game? That’s what Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon such a good take on the Far Cry 3 experience.
Instead of exploring the lovely vacation paradise that’s usually associated with Far Cry 3, Blood Dragon takes players to a neon-soaked world that’s inspired by action movies like The Terminator and Blade Runner.
It’s absolutely hilarious in the way that the story doesn’t take itself seriously at all, or anything else in the game for that matter. The tutorials even make fun of you for not knowing how the hell to jump –it’s really good.
And for just $2, this game can be yours.
Celeste
Original Price: $19.99
There’s a very good reason why this little indie game managed to win so many awards when it first came out. Celeste isn’t just a super-tight, challenging, and engaging 2D platformer, it also tells a pretty important story of someone who’s literally fighting against her inner demons.
It dives into depression and anxiety and shows how the main character, Madeline, deals with these problems that plague her mind constantly.
It’s a fantastic platformer that is a must-play indie from this Epic Games Store Summer Sale.
Jackbox Party Pack Games
Original Price: $24.99 – $29.99
Jackbox Party Pack 1 through 6 have all been heavily discounted during this Epic Games Store sale and it’s just the perfect multiplayer game, especially for those that aren’t typically into video games.
It’s easy to pick up and play and if you need a good laugh in your life, Jackbox will not disappoint. You can grab the latest entry for just $21.
South Park: The Stick of Truth
Original Price: $29.99
Okay, hear me out. This South Park RPG may have come out a couple of years ago but it still holds up as a solid and super entertaining turn-based role-playing game.
It has all of the brilliant humor from the popular animated television series but Stick of Truth also turned out to be a rather fantastic licensed game, which is rare to see.
If you’re in a mood for a hilarious RPG that doesn’t ask to much of your time, this is a great pick during the big summer sale.
Inside
Original Price: : $19.99
Inside immediately throws you in a strange setting with no explanation as to who you’re playing as, where you are, and what’s going on. Eventually, as you progress in this 2D puzzle/platformer, you’ll begin to uncover some weird stuff that’ll give you the heebie-jeebies.
This indie darling can be beaten in just a few short hours and its oh so worth it just so you can see that gnarly ending. There’s a reason it takes the #4 spot on our best indies of all-time list.
The Messenger
Original Price: $19.99
The Messenger is a stunning homage that pays tribute to the classic 2D action-platformers of yesteryear, such as Ninja Gaiden, Metroid, and Castlevania.
It plays out like your traditional platformer in the beginning, but then something changes in the middle of the game that’ll totally rock your socks off.
And if you purchase the main game, you’ll have access to the free DLC, Picnic Panic, which continues the story of The Messenger with new stages, characters to interact with, and bosses.
