Bird feathers are one of the few items in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword that you can’t just get from defeating enemies or find lying around the place. Instead, you’ll need to engage in a fun little mini-game that you can use to farm this upgrade currency, so to speak. Here’s how to get bird feathers in Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Getting Bird Feathers in Zelda Skyward Sword
To get bird feathers, you need to head to Faron Woods region. Here, you’ll find very small bird-like creatures called Chirris roaming the area.
You need to creep up on these with your bug net at the ready and use it to net yourself bird feathers. It’s incredibly easy to farm feathers this way by just going about and catching every Chirris you see.
It’s worth noting that these are different to blue bird feathers which are another crafting item.
Blue bird feathers are obtained by catching Chirris of the same color, in chests, as a random prize in Clean Cut, or purchased from the Moonlight Merchant.
What Are They Used For?
You can take these to the Scrap Shop in the Bazaar. Here, you’ll be able to upgrade Link’s equipment.
Bird feathers are used to upgrade the Sacred Shield into the Divine Shield, and then from the Divine Shield into the Goddess Shield.
You can also just sell them if you’ve no longer got a use for them. This can be done by looking out for Rupin at night. He’ll buy them off you for 20 Rupees each. Not too shabby for something you no longer have any use for.
That’s everything you need to know on how to get bird feathers in Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Be sure to stick with Twinfinite for all your guiding needs.
