How to Get Into Catfish Maw in Zelda Link’s Awakening
Catfish’s Maw is the fifth dungeon in Link’s Awakening and can be one of the tricky dungeons to get into.
For starters, you’re going to need some flippers if you don’t already own them, but if you’ve just completed the Angler’s Tunnel dungeon, then you’re already good to go.
There is one little quest you need to do though before you gain access to the Catfish Maw and that’s escorting a friendly ghost back to its grave.
Where to Take the Ghost
As soon as you complete the Angler’s Tunnel, you will notice an adorable pink ghost that’s following your every move –he wants you to take him somewhere.
Go over to the abandoned shack that is just east of Toronbo Shores and on the west side of Martha’s Bay.
After that, the ghost will then ask you to take him to his grave so that he can finally find peace with his death.
You’ll find a lone gravestone surrounded by flowers just southwest of the Witch’s Hut that’s blocked off by a rock.
Once you interact with the grave, the Owl will come by and tell you that you need to dive into the water if you want to get into Catfish’s Maw.
Now head back to the big pool of water in Martha’s Bay and dive into the deep pool of water right to the left of the rocks that block off the dungeon.
You’ll see little air bubbles coming out of the water and that’s where you want to dive. You’ll traverse through a very small side-scrolling section and then once you swim back up, you’ll be right in front of the dungeon.
To summarize, how to get into Catfish Maw
- Take the pink ghost to the shack in Martha’s Bay.
- Then take him to the gravestone near the Witch’s Hut.
- Go dive near the rocks surrounding Catfish’s Maw to enter the dungeon.
