While Zelda Breath of the Wild has only just released on the Wii U and Nintendo Switch, some players will be eagerly wondering when they can expect the DLC coming as part of the game’s Season Pass. Don’t worry, we’ve got all of the details you need.

There are three drops of DLC coming to Breath of the Wild and all are scheduled to release this year.

The first is already available for those who bought the Season Pass and includes three new treasure chests located in the Great Plateau region of Hyrule. These chests contain useful items for your adventure including exclusive in-game clothing. While this is a neat drop of extra content the bulk of Breath of the Wild’s DLC is coming in later drops.

DLC Pack 1 is due to release sometime this Summer and will add a ‘Cave of Trials’ challenge, a new hard difficulty mode, and an additional map feature. Breath of the Wild’s second and final content pack is coming this holiday season and will give players a new original story, a new dungeon, and more additional challenges to complete.

Unfortunately, Nintendo hasn’t specified any additional details regarding Breath of the Wild’s DLC or provided a smaller release window for either of the upcoming packs. Whenever we find out more, though, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.

It’s worth noting that if you’re interested in grabbing the future content you’ll need to buy the Season Pass. The content cannot be purchased or downloaded individually.
