There’s more than meets the eye in Yakuza Like a Dragon‘s cities. Hidden behind unassuming alleyways and abodes are a plethora of mysterious vendors, just waiting to be discovered with the proper abilities and interactions. They won’t do you any good if you have no idea how to find them though, which is why we’re here with a guide on how to find secret shops in Yakuza Like a Dragon.

How to Find Secret Shops in Yakuza Like a Dragon

To find the Secret Shops in Yakuza Like a Dragon, you’ll first need to have reached a certain point in the game; specifically, the point where you can change your character’s jobs.

This occurs about a third of the way through the game as part of the main story. Once it does, you’ll be able to switch your characters to different vocations, allowing them to learn and use new abilities in and out of battle.

This includes the protagonist Kasuga, and if you switch him to the Foreman job, he’ll learn the environmental ability Demolition. This allows him to destroy barriers scattered throughout the world, opening up secret paths in dungeons and Secret Shops scattered throughout the game’s cities.

Best of all is that he’ll remember the ability even if you switch classes, so you don’t need to keep Kasuga as a Foreman for the rest of the game.

How to Spot Secret Shop Barriers

Once you’ve learned the Demolition ability in Yakuza Like a Dragon, you can then start searching for Secret Shops.

Though they may seem tricky to find at first, they can always be spotted by one simple element: A doorway with light brown wooden planks covering it. We’ve included a screenshot of one down below for you to use as a reference.

Keep an eye out for these doorways, and when you see one, walk up to it. A prompt to Demolish the barrier by pressing the Square Button on PlayStation consoles or the X Button on Xbox consoles will appear. Press the button, and a Secret Shop will be revealed to you.
