Can You Kill Hitler in Wolfenstein 2?
There will be significant story spoilers for Wolfenstein 2 in the paragraphs ahead that will cover what happens in two of the most important scenes in the game. If you do not want to know what happens before you play, stop reading here.
Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is full of interesting and surprising characters, many of which you just don’t expect to appear at all. The biggest surprise appearance of them all comes from an old and frail Adolf Hitler. The question many have, however, is whether you can kill him once you come face to face.
After B.J is executed by General Engel and everyone believes that he is dead, you impersonate an actor and take part in an audition with Hitler himself, on Venus, for an upcoming film about Blazkowicz. As the scene progresses, Hitler lies on the ground, clutching his pistol, and you’re asked to act out a scene with a Nazi guard.
As you get up from your seat and walk towards the stage area, you’ll walk past Hitler and an R3 prompt (on PlayStation 4) appears. By pressing the button, B.J will kick the Nazi leader, “killing” him. You will quickly be killed by the guards in the room and will respawn, but a trophy/achievement will unlock one you’ve done it. It’s an interesting scene, for sure, as it’s tense, progresses the game’s overall plot, and features some of the best voice acting in the game. Plus, you get to say you “killed” Hitler!
