Who Is Cannibal the Wild Dragon in House of the Dragon? Answered

Hungry hungry Dragon.

Daemon Targaryen reveals the existence of a few wild dragons that the blacks can use to defend Dragonstone in the House of the Dragon finale. The dragons aren’t shown on screen, but they are probably rather large, and one of them is strangely named Cannibal. Here’s everything you need to know about who Cannibal the wild dragon is.

Why Is There a Dragon Called Cannibal in House of the Dragon?

Cannibal earned his name for eating dead dragons, dragon babies, and dragon eggs, but he’s apparently not brave enough to eat living adult dragons. He has no qualms about eating people, and everyone should watch their backs around Cannibal since, as an all-black dragon, he is a terrifying sight at night. Whoever claims Cannibal is a brave person indeed and will command the respect of friends and enemies alike.

Who Rides Cannibal in House of the Dragon?

No one is ever able to claim Cannibal, despite the blacks desire to recruit dragon riders to their cause. The few people who tried were eaten by the dragon, leaving Rhaenyra’s team with about 10 dragons; by comparison, the greens only have four dragons and are still at a disadvantage. Leaving Cannibal as a wild dragon is the best course of action to keep good people from being eaten.
