Where to Get Strength HM

You’ll be able to obtain the HM for Strength fairly early in the game. This HM allows you to move big, heavy boulders out of the way in the overworld. It is also a Normal-type move that does 80 base damage that can be taught to your Pokemon.

To find the Strength HM, you’ll want to start at Solaceon Town and head south from there towards Route 209. On this route, there is a structure called the Lost Tower.

Enter this tower and work your way upwards, battling trainers and wild Ghost-type Pokemon. At the top of the Lost Tower, there will be two women waiting for you.

Speak to these women, and they will give you the HM for Strength.

One difference in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl from the original games on the DS is that you don’t have to teach HMs to your Pokemon in order to use these moves in the overworld. Instead, they will be registered on your Poketch app for later use.

This is the new way of using HMs, which is much more convenient if you want to keep your team diversified with the best possible move sets.

That’s everything you need to know about where to get the Strength HM in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. For more tips and tricks, be sure to check out our guide wiki for the game.
