Who Got Voted Off Tonight in Survivor 39: Edge of Extinction 2019 Episode 12

As always, if you don’t want the full breakdown, here goes: Aurora McCreary got voted off tonight in Survivor 38.

Finding Idols

After the last tribal council, it was clear that Rick was still on the bottom. After playing his idol, he decided to go idol-hunting yet again and wouldn’t you know it, he found another one.

In the meantime, Julie also felt like she was on the outs with Rick, as the other four players had taken control of the game. However, there were still cracks within the four.

After Gavin won the reward challenge, he picked Victoria and Lauren to go with him, leaving Aurora back at camp. The three of them decided that Rick absolutely needed to be the first to go, but in the event that he won immunity, they would vote for Julie next.

Lauren had other plans. She felt like she’d had a pretty good relationship with Julie so far and would stand a better chance taking her to the final three. If Rick won immunity, she was leaning towards voting out Aurora instead.

Rick Wins Immunity

At the Survivor 38 immunity challenge, it was a close race between Rick and Aurora, but Rick was the one who secured the win in the end.

Back at camp, Rick and Julie had a few conversations of their own, and both decided to vote for Aurora while hoping to create enough paranoia among the other four to force them to turn on each other. It worked.

Julie talked to Lauren about voting out Aurora, and Lauren brought the idea up to Gavin. She said she’d be down to vote Aurora as long as Gavin was on board, and that Victoria’s vote didn’t really matter to her. Gavin told Lauren that he’d like to loop Victoria in just so she doesn’t feel like she’s being left out.

So then, Victoria was made aware of Lauren’s plans, but the group was still undecided about who to vote for.

At tribal council, Rick pulled out the hidden immunity idol he found and claimed that he would play it for Julie. Then, it was time to vote.

After the votes were cast, Rick opted not to play the idol for Julie, believing that the four would break, and he was right. Aurora was the only one who cast her vote for Julie, while everyone else voted for Aurora, sending her to the Edge of Extinction.
