Is Shadow of the Tomb Raider Coming to Nintendo Switch?
Lara Croft is back for one last adventure in her reboot series, Shadow of the Tomb Raider. After the events of the second game, she’s gone after Trinity herself and is on yet another mission to save the world from utter destruction. The game has already launched for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, although some fans might be wondering when they’ll finally get to play Shadow of the Tomb Raider on the Nintendo Switch.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like Nintendo Switch fans will be able to get their hands on the game. The developer has yet to mention anything about bringing over Shadow of the Tomb Raider to the hybrid console, and it doesn’t seem like it has any plans of doing so.
Lara’s reboot series is quite demanding, and quite frankly, the Nintendo Switch might not be able to handle it. That said, Crystal Dynamics could always resort to downgrading the game for a potential port, but until it’s officially announced, it really isn’t worth holding your breath. Regardless, we’ll update this post in the future if the developers ever do decide to bring over Shadow of the Tomb Raider to the Nintendo Switch.
For now, Nintendo Switch players will need to get their hands on the aforementioned platforms if they want to follow Lara’s last adventure. The game ties up every other loose end and gives Lara some closure, as well as turning her into the hardened adventurer we all know and love. As for the future of the series, we’ll just have to wait and see what Crystal Dynamics has next in store for the legendary tomb raider.
