Where to Use the Gatehouse Key in Sekiro

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is finally out, and players can expect to have a tough time getting used to the new combat system and figuring out how to use certain key items. Here’s where to use the Gatehouse Key in Sekiro.

Getting the Gatehouse Key in Sekiro

First off, you can only get the Gatehouse Key after defeating Gyoubu at Ashina Castle Gate.

From the Ashina Castle Sculptor’s Idol, turn around to find the old woman on the bridge. Opposite her is a grapple point you can hook onto, so head there.

Right in front of you, you’ll find two guards on a bridge that you can eavesdrop on. Kill them to get the Key.

Where to Use It

Now that you have the Gatehouse Key, head back to the Sculptor’s Idol and go through the large gate to the castle proper. However, instead of going up the stairs, take a left to the side room, then drop down the hole. Follow the path to find another Sculptor’s Idol and the Ashina Reservoir area.

Take care of the two guards and the wolves, then head through the large gateway. There are tons of enemies here, so take care of them as necessary. Once through the gateway, turn left, head up the stairs, then turn right to find this large locked house.

Use the Gatehouse Key to open it and you’ll receive the Loaded Spear Prosthetic Tool upgrade in Sekiro. Of course, you’ll still need to take it back to the Sculptor at the Dilapidated Temple so he can affix it to your prosthetic arm.

That’s all you need to know about where to use the Gatehouse Key in Sekiro. Be sure to check our Sekiro guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
