Rise of the Tomb Raider: How to Access the Blood Ties DLC

Look for the father's will.

In Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, PS4 users get access to a brand new story DLC called “Blood Ties.” In this chapter, you get to explore Croft manor as you search for clues related to Lara’s mother’s death, as well as any official records or a will that Richard Croft might have left behind. Once you boot up the game, you’ll have to start up a new save file and begin a new game. Simply proceed through the game normally until you eventually arrive at the very first base camp in the Siberian wilderness. Here, the game will inform you that you now have access to the Blood Ties DLC, along with the Expeditions and Endurance co-op mode.

If you wish to check out Blood Ties immediately, back out of the game and go back to the main menu. You should see an option on the menu called “Croft Manor.” Select that, and you should see the option that lets you start up Blood Ties. I highly recommend playing this after you’ve beaten the main campaign, however. There isn’t anything too spoilery in the DLC, but finishing the campaign will give you a better idea of Lara’s relationship with her father.

Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration will be made available for the PS4 on October 11.
