Can You Play Resident Evil 2 in First Person? Answered
Although the original version released more than 20 years ago, Capcom’s remake of Resident Evil 2 feels incredibly modern and looks incredible. However, it’s quite different to the last game in the series, Resident Evil 7. Here’s everything you need to know about whether you can play Resident Evil 2 in first person?
Resident Evil 7 changed how the series looked, opting for a more immersive first person perspective that made the most of the locations and the virtual reality compatibility. The previous games in the series used a third person camera, though.
The original version of the recent remake has a fixed camera angle though, which some players felt heightened the fear factor of the game.
However, that setting isn’t available in the remake version. Instead, the third person camera was more like what you’d expect from an action adventure game released today. You were able to move it more freely and it was over the shoulder.
Unfortunately, if you were hoping for a first person setting to be included, like the one in RE 7, we have some bad news for you.
There is no way to play the game in first-person, and since the camera was changed to feel like a more modern version of the 1998 game, it’s unlikely that the feature would ever be added. Of course, we will let you know if that ever changes, though.
