Finding the Puzzle Room

First off, you’ll need to find the actual puzzle room. The puzzle room location can be seen in the screenshot down below, near the Grizzlies East region.

You’ll be looking for a small crevice in the white rocks. It’s not too far from the road, so you should be able to find it easily.

Head in, and you’ll see a bunch of statues. Interact with the middle pedestal, and Arthur will draw the statues in his journal, and call them the Strange Statues.

Finding the Painting

Next, you’ll need to find a painting in another location in order to get the solution to the Strange Statues puzzle. The painting itself can be found at a large rock structure just west of your location, at Window Rock. You can check out the location on the map of Red Dead Redemption 2 in the screenshot down below.

If you take a closer look at the painting, you’ll see that it’s a painting of the Strange Statues, and that there’s an eagle next to each one. Each eagle also has a different number of feathers. Starting from the bottom and going in a clockwise direction, you should get these numbers for the statues: 2, 4, 5, 8, 3, 7, 6.

Solving the Strange Statues Puzzle

With the cave painting jotted down in Arthur’s journal, head back to the puzzle room. Now, if you examine the front of each statue, you’ll see that you can push a button. Your goal here is to push the correct buttons to claim your prize. If you push the wrong button, you can reset it by going behind that specific statue and pushing the button from the back.

In the screenshot down below, you’ll see all seven statues, with the number ‘2’ statue at the bottom, closest to Arthur. Again, going in a clockwise direction, the statues are labeled as follows: 2, 4, 5, 8, 3, 7, 6.

To solve the puzzle, you need to push the buttons for the statues with prime numbers, which means you’ll want to push the following ones: 2, 5, 3, and 7.

Once you’ve got it right, you’ll hear an audio cue. Examine the middle pedestal to get three gold bars.
