How to Change Clothes and Outfits in Red Dead Online

Here’s everything you need to know about how to change clothes and outfits in Red Dead Online.

In order to allow everyone a chance to play the single player mode in Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar Games decided to launch Red Dead Online a month after the base game’s release. This was done just like Grand Theft Auto Online and it’s great because it allows more development time and gives players a chance to start off on the same page.

Now the wait is over and Red Dead Online is here, at least for Ultimate Edition owners. Players who purchased regular versions of Red Dead Redemption 2 will have to wait until later this week.

Once you do jump into Red Dead Online, you might have a bunch of questions, so hop over to our Red Dead Redemption 2 wiki to get the help you need.

Something you might be wondering is how to change your clothes and outfits while playing online. After all, what fun is it if you can’t deck your character out in the most stylish outfits?

Thankfully, it works a lot like it does in the single player mode – and there are a couple ways to do so. You can head over to a tailor (marked on your map with a little jacket icon) and change into any clothes you own for free.

Do note that there are a ton of unlockable clothing items and outfits and a lot of them are based on your rank. If you aren’t near your camp, going to the tailor is going to be your best bet.

However, if you’re at your camp, you can change your clothes at your wardrobe, just like when playing offline. Simply walk over to your wardrobe and all of your available clothes will be there and you can change into them if you choose.

That should be all you need to know about how to change your clothes and outfits in Red Dead Online. We have an updated and ever-expanding Red Dead Online section of our Wiki that is sure to help you with anything you may need.
