Gold Bolts are a mainstay of the Ratchet and Clank series, and Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart isn’t looking to buck that trend. It has 25 for you to track down throughout its worlds, and while some are a cinch to find, others can require a bit more time and effort to nab. It’s likely the latter that has brought you here, and has you wondering how to get every Gold Bolt in Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart.

How to Get All Gold Bolts in Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart
As stated above, there are 25 Gold Bolts to track down in Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart.
Most are tied to exploring a given planet for nooks and crannies off the beaten path, while others are locked behind story progression or side quest completion requirements.
We’ve broken down how to get each planet’s bolts as said planets become available in the game down below. again though, it’s worth noting that some won’t be available until a later point in the game, meaning you won’t be able to get every Bolt in one visit to some planets.
Corson V – 3 Gold Bolts
First up is Corson, the planet Ratchet arrives at after Rift Apart’s introductory level. There are three Gold Bolts to track down, and all of them are available during your first visit.
Gold Bolt 1 Location
The first Gold Bolt can be found in the lower-right corner of Corson V’s central section. To reach it, head toward the right side of the central section, using some back alleys to reach a hidden portion. Once there, look for a red crate. Hop on top of it, and then look to your right. There will be a dimensional tear you can use to zoom over to an inaccessible area. Use the tear, and the Gold Bolt will be directly in front of you.
Gold Bolt 2 Location
The next Gold Bolt is found on the upper right side of the top portion of the map. To reach it, you’ll need to have progressed the story to the point where you gain the phantom dash ability and gauntlet, and can use them to wall-run across hovering plates with blue arrows on them.
Progress to this point in the game, and then head to the upper left portion of the upper portion of the map. Head toward the point shown on the map above, and you’ll then find some broken railing where you can jump out toward a secluded platform. Jump to it, and then use the wall-running plates to reach the right section of the area. Continue forward, and then turn right to find the Bolt.
Gold Bolt 3 Location
The third and final Gold Bolt you can find on Corson V is inside the factory where the Info Bot side mission takes place. To nab it, head toward the first area with crates on conveyer belts. Jump on top of the larger crates and ride them through the area to make your way toward the exit leading into the next room. While at the exit, look to your right and you’ll find some more conveyer belts you can platform across to reach the Gold Bolt.
Sargasso – 3 Gold Bolts
The next batch of Gold Bolts you can get in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart are on Sargasso. There are three you can find, with two available during your first visit to the planet.
Gold Bolt 1 Location
The first Gold Bolt can be found behind the facility where you rescue Mort. Make your way past the green gel tubes and toward the back. Once there, you’ll see a dimensional rift up on a ledge. Tether to it, and the Bolt will be right in front of you.
Gold Bolt 2 Location
The next Bolt is near the green goo vat tower to the left of the ramp leading toward Rivet’s hideout. Head toward the tower and make your way to the back side of it, and you’ll find the Bolt without any issue.
Gold Bolt 3 Location
The third Bolt can only be obtained after completing the first main story mission at the Scarstu Debris Field. Once you do, you’ll be contacted by Mort about a side quest you can complete if you return to Sargasso.
Head back to the planet, and then accept the side quest from Mort. It’ll involve collecting Zurpstones for a flying creature named Trudy. Gather 30 from around the planet, and then speak to Mort. They’ll inform you that you can now fly Trudy around the map to gather more collectibles.
Hop on Trudy’s back, and fly her toward the point at the center of the map marked on the screenshot above. You’ll find a ring you can fly through with Trudy, and the Gold Bolt will be at its center.
Scarstu Debris Field – 3 Gold Bolts
Next up are the three Gold Bolts found in Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart’s Scarstu Debris Field area. Two are available during your first visit, while the third isn’t available until a later point in the game.
Golden Bolt 1 Location
The first Gold Bolt is found near the landing pad. After exiting your ship, head toward the platform to the right of the landing area. Once there, you’ll find a magnetized ramp you can take to walk on the underside of the platform. Take it as far as it will go until you reach a green gate. Once you hit this point, look up and to the left. You’ll see another magnetized ramp which you can jump to by pressing the Circle Button.
Press Circle to jump to the new ramp, and then follow it as far as it’ll go. The Gold Bolt will be at the very end.
Gold Bolt 2 Location
The second bolt, meanwhile, is obtained by completing the Bronze arena challenge Awesome Bugtrax Done Quick. Simply complete the challenge once, and you’ll be rewarded with the collectible.
Gold Bolt 3 Location
The third Gold Bolt is also obtained by completing an arena challenge; namely, the Pest Control challenge. It’ll be available after the Silver challenges are unlocked, which occurs after you leave the Debris Field and complete the main story missions tied to a few other planets.
Savali – 3 Gold Bolts
After that are three Gold Bolts you can find on Savali. Two are available immediately, while one isn’t accessible until much later in the game.
Gold Bolt 1 Location
The first is found in the bottom right corner of the map. It’ll be on top of a moving platform that you’ll need to catch up to using your full speed Rocket Boot boost. Chase after it, and when you get close enough, press L1 to grapple onto the top of the machine. This will cause you to land on the machine, deactivating it and rewarding you with the Gold Bolt.
Gold Bolt 2 Location
The second Bolt is at the center of the map, but you can only reach it by activating a string of switches at the point marked on the screenshot above.
Head to the point where the Hero icon is above, and then use your full speed Rocket Boot boost to activate all three switches as fast as possible. This will open up a dimensional tear that you can go through to reach the Gold Bolt.
Gold Bolt 3 Location
The Third and final Gold Bolt on Savali isn’t accessible until you’re near the end of the game. You’ll know you’ve reached this point when you’re forced to return to the planet, and gain access to an underground catacomb.
Once you reach this point, look for a terminal infected with a virus that is connected to a locked door. Use Glitch to destroy the virus, and the door will open to reveal the Bolt.
Blizar Prime – 3 Gold Bolts
Next up is Blizar Prime. There are three Gold Bolts to track down here, and you can get all of them in one go.
Gold Bolt 1 Location
The first is close to the ship landing pad, to the left in an elevated crevice. Make your way to the point shown on the map above, and then circle around to the left of the crevice to find a path leading up to the Bolt.
Gold Bolt 2 Location
The planet’s second Gold Bolt can be reached via a dimensional warp crystal along the path leading toward Chef Tulio. After reaching a cave, look for a path leading to an upper level with a crystal. Whack it, and you’ll be brought to the wrecked version of the planet. The Gold Bolt will be right in front of you.
Gold Bolt 3 Location
The third and final Gold Bolt on Blizar Prime can be found via a dimensional warp crystal on the central platform. Make your way up to the crystal via some nearby crates, and then whack it. This will bring you to the destroyed version of the planet. Make your way to the northern-most point of the platform, and then look for some magnetized tiling. Walk along it, and you’ll eventually come to the Gold Bolt.
Torren IV – 2 Gold Bolts
Next up is Torren IV. There are only two Gold Bolts to track down on this planet, making it one of the easier planets to complete in Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart.
Gold Bolt 1 Location
This is a rare instance of a Gold Bolt being impossible to miss. While riding some grind rails as part of the main story mission, you’ll be directed to use a Dimensional Rift by Clank. Do so, and you’ll automatically pick up the first Gold Bolt along the new dimension’s rail.
Gold Bolt 2 Location
The second Gold Bolt, meanwhile, can be obtained near your ship’s landing pad via some Rocket Boot boost pads. Head to the point marked on the map above, and then continue boosting foward toward a platform with the Gold Bolt on it.
Cordelion – 3 Gold Bolts
After that is Cordelion. There are three Gold Bolts to find here, and they can be easy to miss on your first run if you aren’t careful.
Gold Bolt 1 Location
The first Bolt is through a broken door you can get through via a Dimensional Rift. To reach it, make your way through the level until you warp to the destroyed version for the first time. Once you do this, head down toward the underground section and then look for a hallway to your left. At the end of the hallway you’ll find the broken door, and the Rift should barely be visible through it.
Gold Bolt 2 Location
The second Gold Bolt can be found during the underwater section. From the start of the section, make your way forward until you reach a fork in the path. Go right, and then follow the path toward the square outcropping on the map. You’ll find the Gold Bolt at the end of the path in this section.
Gold Bolt 3 Location
The last Gold Bolt on Cordelia is the easiest to miss. To reach it, head to the first dimensional warp crystal and whack it to reach the ruined version of the planet. Make your way to the lower level of the platform, and then look out toward the circular platform to the right on the map above.
Use your Rocket Boots’ full boost to launch yourself off the platform toward the circular platform. Whack the dimensional warp crystal you find there, and the Gold Bolt will be right in front of you on the normal version of the platform.
Ardolis – 2 Gold Bolts
Next on the list is Ardolis. This planet has two Gold Bolts to track down, and one’ll require some exploration to get.
Gold Bolt 1 Location
The first bolt can be found in the northwest corner of the map, near the second phase of the Pirate Trial. It’ll be locked behind a barrier controlled by a virus-infected terminal. Head toward this portion of the Pirate Trial, and then use Glitch to hack the terminal and destroy the virus. This will open the barrier and reveal the Gold Bolt.
Gold Bolt 2 Location
The second Gold Bolt, meanwhile, requires you to explore some of the unmarked area of the map; specifically, the section to the upper-left of the center. Make your way to the point where you can ride a Speetle, and then use it to make your way through the mazes of ships and explosive crates. Once the path splits, go right and continue along until you come to a jump. Go off the jump while using the Speetle’s boost, and you’ll grab the Bolt at the Jump’s apex.
Viceron – 3 Gold Bolts
Last but not least, there’s Viceron, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart’s final planet. The three Gold Bolts on this planet are super easy to miss if you’re not exploring properly, so keep your eyes open for opportunities to break off the beaten path.
Gold Bolt 1 Location
The first Gold Bolt can be found right after you encounter the first Ms. Zurkon in the area. After meeting her, head forward and take the first right you can. Then, look out for another area off to your right that you can enter via a Phantom Dash. Head through, and then make your way to the far-right side of this new area. The Bolt will be back in a rectangular room to the right.
Gold Bolt 2 Location
Next up, there’s the Gold Bolt found in the area where you need to fight off the decontamination robots surrounding Ratchet and Kit’s cell. Make your way toward the top-right corner of the area, and the Bolt will be behind some large shipping crates.
Gold Bolt 3 Location
The final Gold Bolt is only obtainable after disabling the security for all the cells in the main holding area. Fortunately, this is done as part of the main story, and you’ll be brought back to the area where the Gold Bolt is after you do.
Proceed through the main story until the cells are unlocked, and then proceed back to the main holding area. Once there, head toward the point on the map above and look for the cell between the robot and the meditating monk. The Gold Bolt will be on the left side of the cell.
