This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

How to Dash in Rage 2

Dashing certainly plays an important part in evasion in Rage 2, and you’ll have access to it almost from the very start of the game after you’ve strapped on your Ranger armor.

It’s super handy for dodging incoming missiles or getting out of the way of Assault Sentry laser fire.

It’s easy to pull off… in theory. The dash function in Rage 2 can be a little sticky so you might find yourself failing to properly execute it even when you’ve input the right command.

To dash, you just need to hold a direction and then tap L1 (PS4) or Left Bumper (Xbox One). But we do emphasize the tap bit. If you hold L1/LB you’ll find yourself either not performing a dash or accidentally executing some other command.

It’s also worth noting that there’s a short cooldown in between using the dash command, so you can’t just keep spamming it over and over. You’ll just have to get used to timing your dashes and making them count when necessary. It just takes getting used to.

That’s everything there is to know about how to dash in Rage 2. For more useful tips and guides on the game, be sure to check out our extensive guide wiki page. We’ll be adding more content to it over the next few days as we keep adventuring across the wastelands.
