How to Get Passimian in Pokemon Sword & Shield

What makes both Passimian and Oranguru tough to catch is that in addition to both being extremely rare spawns, each is unique to either the Sword or Shield version of the game.

Passimian can only be found in Sword, while Oranguru is exclusive to Shield. Depending on which version you have, you’ll be able to catch either Passimian or Oranguru in the Glimwood Tangle location of the game, which is just after you’ve beaten the fourth gym. They roam the long grass/scrub in all weather conditions, but they are an extremely rare spawn.

If you’re wanting to get Passimian but have the Shield version of the game then you’ll need to trade with another player. You can read our detailed guide about how to trade online and locally for more information on that process.
