How to Evolve Galarian Yamask Into Runerigus in Pokemon Sword & Shield

First off, if you still need to catch a Galarian Yamask, you’ll find them on Route 6. There’s a roughly 1/3 chance of them appearing in all weather, so it shouldn’t take too long. Now comes the hard part, evolving it.

You don’t need to get Yamask to any certain level, however, it needs to have at least 50 hit points. This is because the first step to evolve Galarian Yamask, is to have it take at least 49 damage or more.

Once it’s taken the damage, don’t heal Yamask. Now you need to head to the Dusty Bowl section of the Wild Area, which is smack-dab in the middle of the area below Hammerlocke.

Once you’re there head to the largest stone arch and simply run below it. Once you’ve passed under it, Galarian Yamask should evolve into Runerigus, and you’ll have a brand new Pokemon.

Since that’s a little complex let’s sum it up.

Time needed: 2 hours

Here’s how to evolve Galarian Yamask into Runerigus

  1. Level up your Yamask until it has at least 50 hit points.

  2. Battle until your Yamask takes 49 damage or more. Don’t heal it.

  3. Head to the Dusty Bowl section of the Wild Area. Just outside of Hammerlocke.

  4. Run underneath the largest arch in the area, and Yamask should evolve into Runerigus.
