Pokemon Masters, the new game in the long line of Pokemon mobile titles, is out now. So that you know what to expect, here’s everything you need to know about whether you can evolve Pikachu in Pokemon Masters.

While you build a team of three Sync Pairs in Pokemon Masters, your actual character has their own Pikachu by their side, as you’d expect from the franchise.

Many of the other Sync Pairs in the game feature Pokemon that you can evolve, though, allowing you to get stronger as you progress through the game’s story.

Can You Evolve Pikachu in Pokemon Masters?

Unfortunately, anyone out there who calls Raichu their favorite Pokemon will be disappointed. Pikachu is one of the Pokemon in Pokemon Masters that you cannot evolve.

This shouldn’t really come as a surprise. If you’re familiar with the original anime series or Pokemon Yellow, you’ll know that Ash doesn’t evolve his Pikachu. It seems like Masters is following the same storyline somewhat.

Of course, that doesn’t mean that you’ll never be able to see Raichu in Pokemon Masters. There are no Sync Pairs in the game that feature Pikachu’s evolution just yet, but it’s possible that more are added in the coming weeks and months.

Since it’s relatively easy to get all of the Sync Pairs in the game, if you spend enough time playing anyway, you’ll likely see more pairs added over time, alongside new chapters to play through.

If another trainer is paired with Pikachu then, it’s certainly possible that you’ll then be able to evolve Pikachu, you just can’t evolve the one you get as your own partner at the start of the game.

In short,

  1. There is currently no way to evolve Pikachu in Pokemon Masters.

  2. However, it may be possible in the future if another Sync Pair with Pikachu or Raichu is added to the game at a later date.

That’s everything you need to know about whether you can evolve Pikachu in Pokemon Masters. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to check out our wiki guide. We’ve also linked to some other helpful guides on the game down below.
