Changing Hairstyle in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

To cut straight to the chase, yes it is possible to change your character’s hairstyle in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, but not in the way that you might have been expecting. Unlike in some of the more recent games in the series, you won’t be able to change your hairstyle by going to a saloon or hairstylist in this one. Instead, your character’s hair changes depending on the outfits you’re wearing.

Once you reach Veilstone City, you’ll be able to visit the Metronome Store to purchase a bunch of preset outfits. These outfits can change your hairstyle accordingly, but that’s about it.

In addition to that, you can only purchase these preset outfits. There’s no way to mix and match various tops and bottoms like in previous games, so your choices end up feeling rather limited. Needless to say, the character customization option in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl aren’t really a focus, and are more of a bonus on top of the original core game experience.

You’ll be able to change your outfit and hairstyle at the store anytime you want, but if you were hoping to have full control over your character’s appearance, you’re out of luck.

That’s all you need to know about how to change hairstyle in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
