When Ashe Is Coming to the Overwatch PTR
During BlizzCon 2018, Blizzard had finally unveiled the latest hero to join their team shooter. While she’s fully playable at the event, most fans are wondering when she’ll be patched in the test servers. That said, here’s when Ashe is coming to the Overwatch PTR.
Ashe, and her robot sidekick, BOB, will be joining Overwatch as the official 29th hero. She comes packed with a powerful lever action rifle, a coach gun, and sticks of dynamite in her arsenal. For her ultimate ability, she can call on BOB, who basically acts as the seventh member of your team roster.
While there have been a few gameplay videos here and there, some fans can’t definitely wait to try out Ashe for themselves. She packs quite the punch and has her own unique strategies on the battlefield.
Like with all other Overwatch heroes, Ashe is definitely heading to the PTR before she hits the live servers. She’ll be tuned and tested before joining the rest of the roster on the official servers. With BlizzCon finally over, fans can expect Ashe to come to the PTR this week.
Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan specifically mentioned that they would be releasing her “as early as possible next week” on a gameplay stream during the BlizzCon weekend. While we still don’t have an exact release date, there could be a chance that they might patch her in the Overwatch PTR on Tuesday, seeing how that’s the game’s official patch day.
We’ll be sure to update this post as soon as we learn the official date as to when Blizzard will put her in the PTR. Regardless, fans won’t have to wait too long before they can go around sniping enemies on the battlefield with Ashe’s lever action rifle.
Apart from her official trailer, Blizzard also launched a new Overwatch cinematic titled “Reunion.” This particular animated short follows D.Va’s “Shooting Star” and delves more into McCree’s history with the Deadlock Gang and his relationship with Ashe.
The animated short also reveals a new character named Echo, who will apparently play a big role in the Overwatch lore. Moreover, she’s also slated to become another playable hero down the line, as Kaplan had also teased her eventual appearance in the game.
That’s pretty much everything you need to know about when Ashe is coming to the PTR servers. For more details on Overwatch and BlizzCon, make sure to search for Twinfinite.
