How to Solve All Decoder Puzzle Chests in Onimusha Warlords
If you’re looking to get the most out of your time with Onimusha Warlords Remastered, we’re here to help. Here’s how to solve all decoder puzzle chests in Onimusha Warlords.
Found scattered around Inabayama castle, Onimusha Warlords’ decoder puzzle chests hold valuable items that can help you make it through the game’s more harrowing portions.
To open each one however, you’ll need to either track down all of the different translation books for each chest or guess your way to a solution by trying every possible combination of coded phrases.
Either method can take quite a bit of time to pull off, and as valuable as the items inside are, they’re not worth doubling or even tripling your total playtime over.
As such, we’ve compiled the answer to every decoder puzzle chest in Onimusha: Warlords below. The list contains the different puzzle chests in order too, so you should be able to open each chest as soon as you find it.
- Seiryu Decoder Chest: The first chest can be found in the bottom right section of the South Area. It will ask you which clan has been subverted to the demons. Select the first, third and sixth options and the chest will open.
- Suzaku Decoder Chest: The next chest is also found in the South Area, next to the Magic Mirror in the central portion. It asks you what the name of the relic created by the clan of ogres is. Answer with the sixth, first and fourth options to uncover its reward.
- Byakko Decoder Chest: This chest can only be opened by Kaede during the section of the game where you play as her, so be sure to open it while you can. Found in the west area next to the magic mirror right before you enter the gold and silver plate door, it asks you where the mysterious place is that the ogres gather. Answer with the fifth, seventh and second options to open it.
- Genbu Decoder Chest: Onimusha: Warlords’ final decoder chest can be found in the room at the top of the East Area past the waterfall. It asks you what can be enhanced with souls from the gauntlet. Answer with the third and sixth options to open it up.
And that’s all you need to know about how to solve every decoder puzzle chest in Onimusha Warlords Remastered. Hopefully this helps make unlocking the decoder chests without nearly as many headaches. Onimusha Warlords Remastered is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Pc and Nintendo Switch.
