No Man’s Sky: How to Barrel Roll

Barrel Roll – No Man’s Sky

Recommended Videos

You know what’s fun when you’re in one of No Man’s Sky’s Starhips avoiding pirates who want to kill you for all of that Plutonium you’re hauling? Channeling your inner Star Fox and pulling off a barrel roll. There’s nothing quite like it, so of course it should be the first thing you do when you finally get your first ship up and running.

Pulling off one of these daring maneuvers in No Man’s Sky is easy. Once your Starship is sky worthy, get yourself into the air and hold either L1 or R1 to barrel roll in their respective directions. You can barrel roll as long as you wish. There’s nothing stopping you except for the occasional asteroid.

We should warn you, though, that barrel rolls can be quite nauseating, especially when you do it near space rocks or a planet’s surface. But don’t let us stomp on your rolling dreams. If you want to roll all the way to that planet that’s 4 hours away, go right ahead. It’s your adventure, so be free little space bird.
