How to Heal – Nioh

Recommended Videos

Nioh is one of those games where you can’t simply tank every hit while trying to execute combos on your foes. Take two or three hits, and chances are you’ll be dead before you know it. To actually survive in battle, you’ll need to know how to heal yourself and restore your health. First off, if you haven’t done so already, make sure that your Elixirs are assigned to one of your item shortcuts. When you pick up your first Elixir, the game will automatically assign it to the top slot in your primary shortcuts. The Elixirs are your main healing items in the game, and you can simply tap up on the d-pad to use it and restore a bit of health. Of course, you can always reassign the Elixirs to other shortcut slots that you might be more comfortable with. You can also use Elixirs directly from your item menu to heal, but this method isn’t really recommended, considering you’re going to want quick access to them during a fight. If you’re out of Elixirs, you can also restore William’s health by going back to a shrine and interacting with it, but do note that this will cause fallen enemies to respawn. That’s all you need to know to heal in Nioh. Be sure to check out Twinfinite’s Nioh wiki guide for more tips, tricks, and information on Nioh.
