Nier Replicant: How to Save Your Game

Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139 is an updated version of the Japan-exclusive Nier Replicant that released back in 2010. 11 years later, developers Square Enix and Toylogic has touched up the visuals and re-recorded the iconic soundtrack to make the game feel right at home in 2021. While Nier: Automata felt far more streamlined in its action, Nier Replicant is a lot more open-ended in typical JRPG fashion, with side and fetch quests to complete. In this guide, we’ll run you through how to save your game in Nier Replicant.

Once you’ve found a Post Box, walk over to it and press Circle/ B and then choose one of the three save slots available. Press X/A to confirm you want to record your progress in the slot and that’s all there is to it.

Auto-Save

Nier Replicant also features an auto-save system which will often trigger just before boss fights, or when you first begin exploring a new area. However, these are more checkpoints for when you’re playing, as when you quit and load the game back up, you’ll have to load from a Post Box save.

Now you know how to save in Nier Replicant, you can take a break from the action knowing your progress is safe and sound. For more tips and tricks, head over to our wiki, or see more of our coverage below.
