Nier Replicant How to Get Pyrite

Nire Replicant: How to Get Pyrite

Nier Replicant‘s biggest challenge is easily upgrading every weapon to its highest level, as many require hard to find resources to do so. Pyrite in particular can seem impossible to track down, so if you’ve been at a loss on how to get Pyrite in Nier Replicant, rest assured that you’re not alone.

That’s why we’ve broken down the process in this guide. Read on to find out the best ways to get this resource without wasting hours in the process.

There are *Minor Spoilers* related to the second method though, so make sure that you’ve finished the game’s first ending before proceeding.

How to Get Pyrite in Nier Replicant

Like with the original game, there is no sure-fire way to get Pyrite in Nier Replicant. It can only be obtained through methods determined by RNG, and whether or not you get it will come down to luck.

With that said though, there are three areas where you can potentially get Pyrite, and they vary in how easily they allow you to farm attempts at getting the resource.

The first way is to search the gleam points in the Barren Temple. Any one of them has a chance to contain Pyrite, and a decent number of them will respawn every time you exit and re-enter the temple. This is easily the most reliable method, as it’s guaranteed there will be at least a few gleam points for you to search over and over again.

You can also get Pyrite by smashing the crates in the Journal world’s research facility. You can access the Journal World after completing the game at least once and then interacting with the bookcase on the first floor of your house.

However, it’s worth mentioning that it’s more likely for resources like Rusted Clump to appear in said crates, and you’ll need to play through the entire segment the Facility is tied to every time you try to farm here.

The third method you can use to get Pyrite in Nier Replicant is to smash the boxes found in the upper-left corner of the Junk Heap’s 1F section. Though the chances of Pyrite appearing are very low, it’s easy to make the crates reappear by going to a lower floor and then returning to 1F via the elevator.

Find the method that works best for you, and keep at it. In time, you should have plenty of Pyrite to upgrade several of the game’s weapons with.
