The island of Aeternum is inhabited by all sorts of fearsome creatures, and the nastiest of them often reside wherever there is a corrupted breach or portal. In addition to the enemies themselves, though, you’ll also have to contend with the corruption if you’re going to brave entering the area and running the portal. Here’s how to get Corruption Resistance in New World.
How to Get Corruption Resistance in New World
Corruption Resistance is a perk that makes your character more resistant to the effects of corruption when inside a breach/portal. You can craft potions from the alchemy table at any settlement in order to boost your corruption resistance, as you can see in the image above.
The ingredients for Common Corrupted Coating aren’t particularly difficult to find; just track down Void Pitcher Fungus and Toadpot Mushrooms to combine with Oil that you have mined. You can use this handy interactive map to locate regions of the map where these ingredients spawn.
If you haven’t managed to craft a potion that offers Corruption Resistance but have found yourself in an area where you’re being infected with corruption, you can always just keep knocking back travel rations until you’re safe — the incoming damage isn’t too punishing.
