Increasing the presence of video replay is one of the most controversial topics among sports fans today. Now it’s time to learn about using replay to your advantage and how to challenge calls in NBA 2K20.
How to Challenge Calls in NBA 2K20
Before you even worry about questionable calls, you’ll need to know which plays are challengeable. There’s no sense in trying to reverse a ruling when there’s nothing that can be changed.
Which Plays are Challengeable
Don’t worry about challenging a call if you feel like you got fouled or if a defender has been hanging out in the lane for too long. You can only challenge a play once the whistle has been blown.
Once the ref blows their whistle for any stoppage of play whether it’s a foul, out of bounds, or over and back, you can challenge it once the play is blown dead.
How to Challenge
Now that you know which calls can be reversed you can learn the sacred knowledge of the challenge. All you need to do is call a timeout after a foul occurs.
If you press the view button (Xbox One), Minus (Switch), or the Touchpad (PS4), then it will bring up a screen that asks you if you want to call a timeout only or challenge the call.
Both options will consume one timeout, but a well-placed challenge used at the right time could make the difference between victory and defeat in a closely-contested game.
