While NBA 2K19 has a bunch of customization options in-game, allowing you to create a fairly striking resemblance to your real-life look, or to any celebrity, friend, or fictional character in the world, there’s also the option to scan a face into the game itself to use with your MyPlayer. To do so, however, requires you to do a bit of account connecting and fiddling around outside of NBA 2K19 itself. That’s why we’re here to guide you through the face scan process and give you some tips to ensure it comes out the very best it can.

First things first, you’re going to need to have an iOS or Android device that is compatible with the MyNBA2K19 app. As long as your device is compatible, simply search the name of the app on your device’s store, and give it a quick download.

From here, once you’ve opened up the app, you’ll need to set up your MyPlayer account and ensure it’s linked up in both NBA 2K19 itself, as well as your MyNBA2K19 app.

Once you’ve your MyPlayer account all linked to the game and the app, it’s actually incredibly easy to face scan yourself into the game. Simply select the “Scan Your Face” option at the bottom of the Profile screen in MyNBA2K19 and follow the on-screen prompts to ensure your face scan is captured correctly.

When the face scan process is complete in the app, load up your game and you should find that your MyPlayer face scan is all ready and waiting for you to use.

2K itself has outlined a couple of handy tips for ensuring that your face scan comes out as clear and accurate to you as possible. We’ve listed these down below for your convenience.
