How to Face Scan MyPLAYER For Created Characters in NBA 2K18
In NBA 2K18 your “MyPLAYER” is an extremely important part of the experience, the literal first thing the game asks you to do after the tutorial is to create one. You have lots of different options in creating your MyPLAYER, but if you want to take a stab at having a more authentic looking you, you can try and upload your own face scan data to NBA 2K18 and let the game create a face and head for you. If you’re interested here’s how to do it.
When at the MyPLAYER Appearance screen, go over to Face Scan Information. From there, the game will prompt you to download the My NBA 2K18 app. If you have a smartphone go ahead and do that, otherwise the Face Scan won’t be possible. In that app, tap anywhere to start it up and then go to Scan Your Face. From there follow the apps’ instructions. You’ll need to take a few shots of you looking dead ahead and then a few side to side shots for some side profile (like a mug shot kind of, not that I would know anything about that, just from what I hear). Make sure to move your head slowly left to center to right, back to center etc. The camera will go wild taking a bunch of shots and when it’s satisfied, it will make a loud satisfying ding, like a microwave.
From there the game will ask you to upload the photos. Go ahead if you’re satisfied or if not and you want to look extra pretty, give it another go and re-Face Scan yourself. Once you’ve uploaded the photos, go back to the in-game screen. Exit the Face Scan Information tab and go to MyPLAYER Appearance. If you did everything correctly, you’ll see a notification that your face scan is generating and when it’s done, you’ll be able to see your pretty (or horrifying) digitized self. Enjoy!
