How to Play Local and Online Multiplayer in Mortal Kombat 11

Local Multiplayer MK11

As always, Mortal Kombat is a great game to play on the couch with a friend. From the main menu, choose the Fight option, and you’ll be able to battle against other players or the CPU.

Select the Local option to play a casual match against a friend next to you. Just make sure to plug in another controller.

If you want something a bit more intense, you can also pick the Tournament option for local play.

Play MK11 Online With Friends

Alternatively, if you want to take your skills online, you can do so as well.

From the main menu, choose the Fight option, then choose Online to get into matches with other players. There are a series of options to choose from here. The Kombat League is Mortal Kombat 11’s form of a ranked or ladder mode, but there are more casual options to get into as well.

You can also play with people on your friends list by choosing one of the Private options, which allow you to get into 1v1 matches or create your own lobby.

In the Online menu, you can also join or create rooms to play with set groups of players.

Lastly, the AI Battle option from the Fight menu lets you create a team of customized AI fighters, which you can then send out to fight teams created by other players online.

That’s all you need to know about how to play online and local multiplayer in Mortal Kombat 11. Be sure to check our Mortal Kombat 11 guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
