This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Mordhau is out now on PC and is proving to be very popular. It’s a multiplayer game that sees players battle it out with medieval melee weapons in a range of modes. There’s even a 64 player battle royale mode, on top of everything you’d usually expect. It’s not as serious as the setting might suggest though. Here’s everything you need to know about how to spin your sword in Mordhau.

How to Spin Your Sword in Mordhau

The game might be all about battering enemies’ skulls in with all manner of swords and clubs, but there’s a lighthearted tone to a lot of the action. As you’d expect from a game with a battle royale mode, you are able to communicate with other players using emotes in the game, and that’s where spinning your sword comes from.

To emote in the game, you need to press X to bring up the menu. Here, you’ll see all of the emote options available to you and what button you need to press to perform each on.

To spin your sword, you need to choose the Flourish option, which is the 1 key by default. Be sure to try out the other emote options too while you’re in that menu.

What Sword Spinning Does

Pressing those buttons will then see your characters spin their sword around in their hand. It’s not useful for anything other than a way of taunting enemies, though.

You can’t attack people using it, like you can with some of the alternate grip and throwing mechanics in Mordhau. It’s purely a bit of fun that adds a little bit of humor to the otherwise violent matches.

That’s everything you need to know about how to spin your sword in Mordhau. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
