Replay the Campaign On A Harder Difficulty

For Modern Warfare, this may or may not be a no brainer but now that you’re familiar with the missions and story, you can give yourself a little bit of a challenge next time around.

Granted, if your first playthrough of the game was on realism like a madman, then you can lower the difficulty and enjoy a smooth ride.

You can switch up your gameplay style too by using any of the weapons you haven’t given a try or some of the tools you didn’t pick up.

Modern Warfare’s campaign is a good one to replay especially since you know the story’s, secrets, twists, and turns this time. Lookin’ at you Hadir

Dive Into Spec-Ops

Spec-Ops returns in Modern Warfare with a choice between solo or cooperative. There are a few missions to pick from so there’s plenty of extra fun to have.

The game’s story continues a little bit in Spec-Ops as well so it’s perfect for those of you who couldn’t get enough of the great campaign.

Weapon variety, fancy gameplay, and a bunch of action will greet you in Spec-Ops so strap in for another wild ride.

Get That Cinder Block To The End of “Embedded”

The achievement “Companion Block” requires you to carry your very first cinder block all the way to the end of the mission as a kind of nod to the Portal series and its cute little companion cube.

For those of you that didn’t complete the achievement because you were either confused or just didn’t want to do it, now would be the perfect time to revisit the level and grab the achievement.

It’s not a particularly hard one to get either. You can still drop the cinder block and use your weapons but you specifically need to get that first cinder block all the way to the end.

You also can’t go up ladders with it but Modern Warfare conveniently gives you ways around them because the game also wants you to take that cinder block home.

Snipe Better in “Highway of Death”

As a kind of homage to “One Shot, One Kill” from Call of Duty 4, “Highway of Death” includes a long distance sniping portion full of bullet physics, wind, and realistic shooting.

If you were trash at that section and practically missing every shot even though they were giving you hints and tips every second like me, then it wouldn’t hurt to take a crack at the mission one more time.

There are also a few achievements associated with this particular mission so honing your sniping skills would be very useful.

Or, you know, you can just keep shooting Hadir’s sniper rifle and hope for the best.

Grab the Rest of the Achievements

In true Call of Duty style, there are plenty of mission specific achievements you can get throughout the campaign and Spec-Ops. If you choose to replay the story then you can take a crack at a few of the fancy things they want you to do.

There’s achievements like the cinder block mentioned earlier, difficulty achievements, weapon specific achievements, and many more to occupy your time.

Modern Warfare wants you to do a few tricks throughout the campaign which will simply just add more to an already intriguing story.
