How to Melee in Metroid Dread

Meleeing in Metroid Dread is essentially just countering or parrying an enemy when they attack. To execute this move, all you have to do is press X as they attack. Doing so will not only stun them but also drops more health and missiles.

When it comes to EMMIs, it should be noted that you can’t kill them after a melee counter, but it will stun them if you parry perfectly as their light flashes. It can be a bit difficult, but with a little practice, you should be able to get the timing down for this in no time.

That is everything you need to know about how to melee in Metroid Dread. If you’re still on the hunt for more info about the game, be sure to search Twinfinite, as there are plenty of tips, tricks, and FAQs about the game throughout.
