Eos Radiation in Mass Effect Andromeda

Recommended Videos

Eos is the first proper planet you’ll get to explore in Mass Effect Andromeda. As soon as you land and venture out of the safe zones, SAM will immediately inform you that your radiation levels are spiking. This is because the air in Eos isn’t safe, and it’ll start to drain your life support systems. You can check your life support meter in the bottom left corner of the screen. Once the meter depletes, you’ll start taking radiation damage.

To prevent radiation damage, simply head into any safe zone. Outposts and even Kett and Remnant bases are usually equipped with shields that will block off the radiation once you step into the area. While you can run around radiated areas for a period of time before taking damage, it’s much safer to travel around in the Nomad instead. The Nomad can be unlocked through the main mission on Eos, and it comes packed with better environmental resistance, so you can get around the area faster and in a safer fashion.

After you’ve unlocked your first outpost in Eos, the radiation levels in some areas will go down as well. Let enough time pass and all of the radiation will eventually go down allowing you to fully explore.

That’s all you need to know to survive radiation damage in Eos. Be sure to check back with Twinfinite and our ever-expanding wiki for more tips, tricks, and information on Mass Effect Andromeda.
