How to Command Allies in Mass Effect Andromeda
In Mass Effect Andromeda, Ryder will have the opportunity to jump into battle with two squadmates backing him up. Your AI allies are pretty competent, and they’ll follow you around and defend you whenever you’re in combat. However, there will be certain missions that might require you to defend an objective from multiple sides. In such cases, you’ll want to position your allies such that you’re able to prevent yourself from getting flanked.
To get your ally to take cover at a specific location, aim your reticle at that position, and press either the left or right button on the d-pad to put them there. The left and right buttons correspond to one of the two allies you have with you. From then on, your allies will hold the position you put them at until you give them further orders. To call them back, hold the up button on the d-pad. If you want to call them back individually, hold either the left or right buttons for whichever ally you want at your side.
Now that you know how to command allies, feel free to sound off in the comments if you have other questions about the game.
