Avengers Game: How to Power Boost Gear & Increase Its Level

The loot grind is ongoing in Marvel’s Avengers, and while you’ll often switch out old, lower-powered gear for shiny, higher-power level gear, sometimes you may want to stick with your old faithful due to the perks it has. Fortunately, there’s a way to power boost Gear in Avengers Game which increases its power level by one, ensuring it’s still a viable option for you to use in tougher missions with higher power levels.

Power Boosting Gear in Marvel’s Avengers

To boost gear in Marvel’s Avengers, press the touchpad on PS4 or View button on Xbox One to open your ‘Gear’ menu.

Select the piece of gear you want to upgrade with the left analog stick.

With the piece of gear highlighted, press and hold Square on PS4 or X on Xbox One to boost the gear by one Power level. Keep in mind you’ll need enough of the required resource material for that specific piece of gear in order to boost it.

Gear will need an amount of any of the following resource materials each time you boost it.

  • Nanite
  • Nanotube
  • Catalyst
  • Plasma

It’s worth pointing out thar you can only boost a piece of gear a total of 10 times. After that, the gear piece will be maxed out.

High-Power Gear & Exotic Artifacts in Marvel’s Avengers

When it comes to upgrading high-power gear or artifacts, you’ll need one of the following resource materials listed below.

  • Upgrade Module – High-Power Gear
  • Polychoron – Exotic Artifacts
  • Uru – Minor Artifacts

These are a lot rarer, but can still be obtained from strongboxes and completing drop zones, Faction Assignments challenging activities, and missions.

What’s worth noting is the upgrade process remains the same, you’ll just need these different, more rare materials.
