How to Do a Trick Shot in Mario Tennis Aces

Recommended Videos

Mario Tennis Aces is the latest in the fast-paced sports franchise. You’ll be able to play with your favorite character as you traverse the field to hit the balls back and forth. Jeez, when you really narrow down an explanation of tennis, it sounds silly, right? There are pretty cool shots you can do in the game, though! Here’s how you can do a trick shot.

Within the game, each character can do their own special form of the trick shot. This is the hit that will allow you to traverse land quickly and make sure you hit the ball before you lose a point. It’s incredibly useful when playing, so don’t forget you can do it!

The easiest way to pull it off is really as simple as double tapping the X button on your controller. Move the joystick in whatever direction (right, left, up, down) and double tap X in order to quickly cross a lot of the field. You can also use the right joystick (if you have access to it) and do the trick shot by flicking that in a certain direction.

The court is your oyster, and doing this will allow you to hit balls you normally wouldn’t have been able to reach in time. Each character does this differently, and some are better at it than others. Keep that in mind!

That’s all there is to doing a trick shot in Mario Tennis Aces! For more help with the game, let us know what you need in the comments down below. Alternatively, check out our wiki for more tips, tricks, and guides.
