Madden 22 is back and everyone’s favorite (pretty much by default but that’s OK) football sim is ready to serve you another helping of America’s most popular sport. While every good coach/team has a game plan going into every game and play, they also need to be prepared to switch things on the fly as needed. In this guide, we’re going to go over how to call an audible on offense and defense in Madden 22.
How to Call an Audible on Offense and Defense in Madden 22
Calling an audible on offense and also defense in Madden 22 is essentially the same process except, obviously, it’s happening on opposite sides of the ball.
Whether you’re looking to switch to a different preset offensive or defensive play what you need to do is press Triangle on PlayStation or Y on Xbox (same buttons when the eventual next-gen versions come out).
This will open up the audible menu and you’ll be able to pick from a series of plays that have been preset ahead of time by pushing the button associated with the play you want.
Keep in mind though that personnel is not changed out when you call an audible since everyone is already on the field. Your players will adjust as best they can to accommodate your request, but it’s important to remember that you may, or may not, be running that play you changed in the best possible form.
To change the presets, go to the pause menu and tab over to Coaching. From that part of the pause menu, you’ll see Offensive and Defensive Audibles. Here is where you can tinker with what plays show up in your audible menu during the game.
Keep in mind though, in some game modes such as certain parts of Face of the Franchise, you may not be able to change your presets.
That’s all you need to know about how to call audible on offense and defense in Madden 22. For more tips, tricks and frequently asked questions answered, search Twinfinite for Madden 22.
