How to Save Your Game in Madden 19’s Longshot Mode

Recommended Videos

Madden 19, the latest entry in the storied sports game franchise, is finally upon us, and with it the next installment in the Longshot story mode.

The answer to providing a compelling story mode to go along with the series’ stellar multiplayer, Longshot mode places players in the role of two prospective football legends, Devin Wade and Colt Cruise, making their way up through the ranks from the very bottom. Following the events of last year’s entry, Madden 19’s installment in the story finds each at a crossroads: Devin struggles to find his groove with making the correct call on the field, while Colt eagerly tries to land a tryout or create a new hit single to move into music. Both have their shares of highs and lows, and the only way to experience them is to make your way through each challenge that Madden 19’s Longshot presents across its three-to-four-hour playtime.

That said, there may be times where you have to step away from the game to rethink your strategy, deal with daily necessities or otherwise take a break to deal with adult obligations. To this end, the game will save automatically in between cutscenes and gameplay segments, allowing players to pick up at the beginning of a segment if the game is shut off during play. To ensure you don’t lose progress, keep an eye on the bottom right corner of the screen to make sure your progress is saved to your profile and avoid quitting out until you’re at the beginning or end of a gameplay segment.

That’s literally all you need to know to save your progress in Madden 19. Yep, that’s right, just let the game do all the work for you!

Madden 19 is set for release on Aug. 10 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
