Is Life Is Strange 2 Coming to Nintendo Switch?

DONTNOD’s Life Is Strange series have won over the hearts of many since the first episodic season released back in 2015 with their captivating characters and heaps of teenage angst we can’t get enough of. With Life Is Strange 2 currently in development, some players may be wondering if Life Is Strange 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch.

Currently, it doesn’t look like Life Is Strange 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch. Sadly, neither Life Is Strange’s first season, or Life Is Strange: Before the Storm (developed by Deck Nine) have yet made it onto Nintendo’s hybrid console.

Chances are if we were going to see Life Is Strange 2 come to the Nintendo Switch, we’d also see the previous two seasons release on the system at the same hand or beforehand, too.

That being said, it’s not all doom and gloom. After all, if DONTNOD and Square Enix have managed to release Life Is Strange’s first season on mobile devices, there’s certainly no reason it couldn’t also be ported to the more powerful Nintendo Switch.

A Life Is Strange 2 Switch port, if we are to ever get one, is likely to come after the release of all of the episodes on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Currently, these platforms have only received Life Is Strange 2’s first episode, and another four are due to follow.

Life Is Strange 2’s second episode is due to hit these platforms on Jan. 24, with the remaining three to follow sometime in 2019. As such, if we were going to get a Life Is Strange 2 Nintendo Switch port, it’d likely be much later in the year.

For now, though, this is simply speculation on our part (and a lot of hoping, too). After all, who wouldn’t want to take the Diaz’s tumultuous adventure with them on-the-go?

We were big fans of Life Is Strange 2’s first episode, highlighting the brotherly dynamic between its two main characters as a driving force in the narrative and gameplay. You can check out our impressions here.
