HOW TO BREAK HEAVY ARMOR IN KINGDOM COME DELIVERANCE

Recommended Videos

Kingdom Come Deliverance’s realistic sword combat is right at the heart of what makes this huge open world RPG so unique. Unlike other fantasy RPGs, or virtually any video game based on medieval period for that matter, sword versus armor combat has much more nuance than simply hitting an enemy to reduce their health. Just as in real life, wearing thick plate armor makes you pretty much invulnerable to certain types of attacks, and you’ll need special weapons to break through enemy foe donning heavy armor. Understanding which weapons are able to defeat which pieces of armor will be crucial to beating the game.

There are three types of weapon damage in Kingdom Come Deliverance, and only one will break heavy armor. Stabbing and slashing are completely ineffective. In order to defeat heavy armor, use weapons with Blunt damage such as a Mace. Blunt damage is similar to “Crush” damage — a familiar stat used in many fantasy RPGs gone by. Note that your weapon’s Blunt stat must be higher than the opposition’s armor defense in order to overcome it.

That’s all the information you need in order to break heavy armor in Kingdom Come Deliverance. For more useful guides and tips on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
