How to Get Spinosaurus in Jurassic World Evolution

Recommended Videos

There are a ton of dinosaurs that Frontier Development has managed to cram into Jurassic World Evolution, and even more if you get the Deluxe Edition of the game. Alas, you don’t just have the choice of over 40 dinos to choose from as soon as you start your park-management adventure. You’ll have to put some work in to unlock them first. The Spinosaurus is a pretty funky-lookin dinosaur, too, so chances are you probably want to get them in Jurassic World Evolution to really give your park a headline attraction.

In order to get the Spinosaurus in Jurassic World Evolution, you’ll first need to extract their DNA from fossils which can be found by sending Expedition Teams out from the Expedition Center. Spinosaurus fossils, however, can only be found on the fifth island, known as Isla Sorna in Jurassic World Evolution. Once the teams have returned with fossils, send ’em over to the Fossil Center to be analyzed. You can then choose which you want to extract the DNA of, and which you don’t need and just want to sell for cash. To be able to incubate yourself a Spinosaurus in Jurassic World Evolution, you need to unlock 50% of its Genome, which you’ll do by extracting that aforementioned fossil DNA. Once you’ve done this, you’ll be all set to get as many Spinosaurus in your park as you want.

Alternatively, it is possible to just capture a wild Spinosaurus on Isla Sorna if you’re lucky enough. This will immediately unlock the genome for you and give you the ability to incubate as many of the fearsome creatures as you want.

That’s all you need to know to get these majestic creatures in Jurassic World Evolution. For more on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
