Is Halo Wars 2 Coming to PC?
Halo Wars 2 is the sequel to one of Halo’s most popular spinoffs, and one of the most anticipated Xbox exclusives of the year. The first game took things in a very different direction, opting for RTS style gameplay instead of the first-person shooting Halo is so well known for. Halo Wars 2 actually picks up shortly after Halo 5: Guardians and focuses on the same battleship as its predecessor, the Spirit of Fire.
The game features a fully fleshed out campaign filled with multiple levels, cutscenes, and an original story in the Halo universe. On top of that, it comes packed with a number of multiplayer modes including Blitz, a new mode that combines elements of RTS games with card collecting. Considering how popular the Halo series is, many fans were hoping to get Halo Wars 2 on PC. The good news is that the game is coming to PC, on the same day as Xbox One.
You can buy the game digitally, which also makes it a part of Microsoft’s Xbox Play Anywhere program. This means that buying a digital copy lets you play it on both the PC and Xbox One. Additionally, THQ Nordic has partnered with Microsoft to give the title a physical release as well.
Halo Wars 2 launches on February 21, 2017 for both PC and Xbox One.
