How to Get to Starlight Strand in Slime Rancher 2

Here's how to get to Starlight Strand in Slime Rancher 2.

You may be wondering where you can find some of the cute new slimes introduced in Slime Rancher 2. While the Cotton Slime is in Rainbow Fields, which serves as the starting area, there really isn’t anything new there. In fact, most of the new slimes are hidden in the Ember Valley and Starlight Strand; and the game isn’t totally upfront with how or where you unlock these areas. Well have no fear, Twinfinite is here and we will show you how to get to Starlight Strand in Slime Rancher 2

Unlocking Starlight Strand in Slime Rancher 2

The first thing you want to keep an eye out for when exploring the Rainbow Fields is the Cotton Gordo. He’s just like his smaller counterparts but, well, really big. He sits firmly towards the southern part of the area and just south of where the refinery link and research drone are.

Since he’s a Cotton Gordo he will only eat veggies. Although, if you can find some, his favorite food is water lettuce. You can find carrots almost everywhere nearby and a few water lettuce patches hidden around nearby. Remember that feeding a Gordo Slime its favorite food counts as double the amount of food. So instead of 32 carrots, you could get by with 16 water lettuce.

Once you get him to pop you’ll see that he was actually sitting on top of the entrance to a cave with a switch. Hit this switch to activate the portal to the Starlight Strand. You’ll be able to see the beam of rainbow light outside but to get to it you just need to go through the cave next to the already placed refinery link nearby.

That’s really all there is to it finding the Starlight Strand in Slime Rancher 2 is pretty simple! Once in Starlight Strand you can explore and see some of the new and old slimes it has to offer. As well as uncover some of the new mysteries waiting for you. We hope this guide was helpful and be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game, including how to get the Market Link, and how to get to Ember Valley.
