The Pickaxe can be found in a stone within the Plaza, and you can clear out any Night Thorns to make a better path for your character. You can use this item by equipping it from your Tool menu or pressing ‘5’ for PC users. Moreover, you’ll need the Pickaxe to clear out some stones that block the entryway to the Fishing Rod.

Watering Can

The Watering Can is next to your Disney Dreamlight Valley home base, but you must get rid of the Night Thorns to get it. This tool is essential for gardening since crops won’t grow unless you water them.

Shovel

The Shovel is located near the boarded-up building by the Wishing Well. Players can use this tool to plant seeds from their inventory by cultivating the soil or digging up sparkling spots with hidden treasures.

Fishing Rod

As mentioned before, clearing out the rocks with the Pickaxe is the only way to get to the Fishing Rod. Once you do this, you must go to one of the nearby ponds, where you can find the tool on the ground. Unfortunately, the Fishing Rod is broken, and you’ll need to talk to Goofy so he can fix this issue.

If you haven’t met with him yet, you’ll have to clear out the Night Thorns at his house to set him free (you can find his icon on the map.) Then, after you get rid of the blockage, enter his home to give him the broken Fishing Rod, and he will provide you with his old one.

With this item, you can go to water-filled locations and cast your line there to begin fishing. Furthermore, players can target circular ripples to get special types of fish that they can sell or cook.

Now that you know how to get the Royal Tools in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can use them to fix up the land and establish your gardening areas.
