how long to beat bowser's fury

How Long Bowser’s Fury Takes to Beat

Bowser’s Fury is the all-new 3D Mario adventure packed in with the Nintendo Switch port of the Wii U classic, Super Mario 3D World. In Bowser’s Fury, Mario teams up with Bowser Jr. to help him calm Bowser down out of his fury. To do so, you’ll need to collect Cat Shines and fight him off in epic-scale battles. With this being a bit of pack-in content, some fans are likely wondering just how long Bowser’s Fury takes to beat.

Before we go any further, it’s worth pointing out that like many other Mario games, players can beat the final boss and then still have more content to sink their teeth into if they want to 100% the experience.

As such, we’ve given our estimation of a 100% completion time based on our efforts to do so at the time of writing, as well as an accurate time on how long it’ll take to beat the final boss and watch the credits roll.

How Long Bowser’s Fury Takes to Beat

It’ll take about 6-8 hours to reach and beat Bowser’s Fury’s final boss fight. This requires you to get 45 Cat Shines in order to unlock. At this point, you’ll unlock the Giga Bell next time Fury Bowser shows up, and walking into it will trigger the final boss fight.

After beating the final boss fight, the credits will roll and you’ll then be able to jump back into the game to try and collect the remaining 55 Cat Shines. That’s right, there’s a total of 100 Cat Shines in Bowser’s Fury, and you’ll need to get all of them if you want to snap Bowser out of his tantrum once and for all and save Lake Lapcat from his outbursts of destruction.

To get all 100 Cat Shines and 100% Bowser’s Fury, we’d predict you’re looking closer to 15 hours.

Many of the Shines in the game aren’t that difficult to get, and as all of their locations are marked on your map upon beating the final boss, it makes tracking them down and ticking them off significantly easier.
